At Peak Pursuits, we recognise that effective fieldwork begins in the classroom. To support this, we provide a set of five lesson plans, each fully equipped with activities, worksheets, and content. These lessons are designed to assist teachers prepare students for our Geography and Science excursions. This approach ensures that excursion time is dedicated to hands-on learning, including the practical use of geographical tools and equipment, the collection and analysis of primary data, and the recording of findings using accurate and meaningful methods.
To support ongoing assessment, we also provide a summative assessment task, accompanied by a detailed marking guide. This helps teachers gather targeted feedback, monitor student progress and assess learning outcomes.
Each excursion booked with us includes:
Pre-Excursion Learning Material
Five comprehensively resourced lesson plans to prepare for the excursion.
The Excursion day focuses on the gathering, interpreting & recording of primary data.
Post-Excursion Assessment Task
