Peak Pursuits’ 6-Day, 5-Night Fieldwork Trip to the Great Barrier Reef provides students with an opportunity to dive into one of the world’s most vibrant and diverse ecosystems.
This hands-on exploration offers a close-up look into the reef’s diverse marine life where students will engage in activities such as snorkelling surveys, coral health assessments, water quality testing, science citizenship, canopy assessments and guided Indigenous walks.
Students will learn about the Great Barrier Reef’s complex ecological processes, the importance of biodiversity and the threats the reef faces from naturally induced phenomena, human impacts and climate change.
Through guided discussions and data collection, students will gain a deeper understanding of marine conservation efforts and how they can contribute to protecting this natural wonder.
